How to Repair Leaks in an American Standard Gooseneck Kitchen Faucet

If a goose neck faucet leaks, it is usually in one of three places-At the bottom of the faucet mouth, the bottom of the handle or the ink cartridge inside the outer cover of the handle.The leak is due to O-Deterioration of the ring or mouth tube.O-The ring kit is available so you can replace every old part and cartridge.It may take less than half an hour to replace these parts because you don\'t have to replace the whole sink faucet, which will save you money.The US standard clearly states the part number so that the customer can find or order the part at the on-site repair retailer or online parts supplier.The O-The replacement of the ring may be slightly different due to the change of the US standard goose neck, but they will be very similar.Find the hot and cold water supply valve of the faucet under the sink.Close each valve by rotating the handle clockwise.By turning on the hot and cold handle of the tap position, check whether the water of the tap is off.Slide the rubber strap wrench over the faucet spout.Tighten it on the spout outer cover and turn it counter-clockwise to release it from the faucet deck.Lift the spout up and remove it from the faucet deck.Remove and replace each O-Ring on the faucet deck.Slide the bottom of the spout back to the faucet deck and tighten the esscut with your hands to secure it in place.Rotate the outer cover half a circle with a rubber strap wrench to tighten it completely.Clean the area with a rag and try the faucet after turning on the water supply.Shut down the water supply system.Remove the index button at the top of the handle, trim the cap and expose the screw fastener.Rotate the screw counter clockwise with a cross screwdriver.Hold the handle firmly and pull it up to remove it.Remove the O-Ring at the bottom of the handle and replace it with a new ring.Tighten the rubber strap wrench on the hood of the faucet handle and rotate it counter-clockwise to loosen it from the faucet deck.Adjust the wrench to the hex part of the faucet handle cartridge.Rotate the wrench in a counter-clockwise direction to loosen the cartridge.Pull the cartridge out directly and remove it from the faucet deck.Insert the new cartridge into the faucet deck hole.Tighten the cartridge by hand until it is comfortable.Adjust the wrench to the hex head of the cartridge and turn clockwise to fully tighten the faucet deck.Twist the outside cover of the handle with your hand until it is comfortable.Adjust the rubber strap wrench to the outer cover for further tightening.Insert the handle into the outer cover until it is fully mounted on the cartridge lever.Screw the screw fastener in the center of the handle with a cross screwdriver.Put the index Button back in place.If needed, repeat the process on the opposite handle.Clean the area with a rag and try the faucet after turning on the water supply.
