How to Anchor a Toilet Flange in a Tile Floor

In order for your toilet to be firmly anchored, always use the closet flange that is tightly fastened to the floor.The closet flange connects the waste water pipe to the lower side of the toilet.It helps to seal the two areas together so that the gas cannot escape and prevent the toilet from shaking or leaving the pipe.When you install the toilet on the new tile floor, make sure you use the right technology to drill holes.Trying to drill through a tile with a regular drill bit and drill bit will only cause the drill bit to overheat and slow down the working speed.Place your toilet flange in the position of the top of the tile, the holes on the back are arranged flat on the back wall, and the two slots are parallel to the two walls on both sides of the toilet.Find and mark the area to be drilled.Most flanges have four to six holes around the lip.At least four drilling holes are planned to fix the flanges on the floor.Spread them around the flange for optimal support.Dip the ends of the appropriate size carbide or diamond drill bit into a bottle of cooling oil.Cooling oil will help to prevent the drill bit from overheating when passing through the tile.If you notice smoke or red on the drill while working, please dip it into the oil again.Place the end of the bit on one of the areas to be drilled on the tile and twist the bit back and forth several times.This will help the drill bit to start grinding or biting into the surface of the tile.This is particularly helpful for glazed or polished tiles, otherwise it can cause the drill bit to slip.Start the drill bit at low speed and drill directly into the tile.Once the drill bit goes through the tile, speed up with the drill bit when the drill bit goes through the back plate into the ground floor.Repeat other holes.Replace the drill bit with a screwdriver accessory on the drill bit, and sink the screw through the tile into the ground floor to anchor the flange firmly in place.
